Let’s make accessing the safety net as easy as having a trusted friend by your side.

MyFriendBen is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations by making it easy to understand and access government benefits, tax credits and nonprofit programs.

Every year, billions of dollars in food, health care, and other assistance go untapped nationally. This problem is particularly acute in North Carolina, where rural, Black, Latine and immigrant communities are disproportionately under-enrolled. 

Code the Dream developed a North Carolina benefits screener to maximize access to and enrollment in programs that support the health of low-income individuals and families.

The mobile-friendly platform is designed for direct use by individuals with low incomes, as well as community-based organizations on the front line of this work.
